Flamiche and more birthday cake!

Breakfast was back to pancakes again, the British children wanted theirs in whirls – so I did too!

This morning was full of lots of odd jobs, our 1yo was rather under the weather so I didn’t finish everything. Lunch was pasta with garlic and courgettes:

This afternoon we made a birthday cake for our 2yo! I was taught a really useful tip for lining the bottom of the tin a few years ago:

Fold a piece of greaseproof paper in half and then half again. Fold now to make a triangle:

Keep folding

If you were to open it back out at this point it would look thus:

Measure against the tin

Grease tin and unfold!

Much easier than drawing round the tin!

Supper was Flamiche and it was very lovely!
